Portraiture is an integral part of photography. For my current photo assignment we are creating self portraits while working with the idea of stereotypes.

The task is to take at least 3 unique self-portraits that address either one or more specific stereotypes.

When thinking of ideas and ways to approach this assignment I was immediately interested in the stereotypes of photographs themselves. This lead me to the idea of the typical family/childhood photographs that you would most likely come across in a family photo album. After being inspired by some personal childhood photographs I went on to shooting my first role.
