Photographing the fabric in various environments. To create a play in the series where you have a relationship between myself and the fabric, and a relationship between the fabric and environments that are familiar to me.

Although the objects are fairly simple on their own, in mass amounts they surround the individuals and create a sense of complexity and chaos. This makes an interesting contrast between the photos. In the photographs where the objects are neatly displayed and organized, they hold a innocent quality, but when they surround and almost consume the individuals they reveal a sense of superiority.

The contrast between photographs, and the play between the objects and the individuals, is an interesting concept that is similar to the narrative I am trying to capture in my photo series with the various fabrics.

A few outtakes from a black & white series I'm beginning to work on -- sort of a continuation of a concept that I explored in an early colour series. Taking one particular photograph within the series as a basis for this new series. It's a one on one fight between myself and the fabric; the fabric being a representation of life's obstacles and challenges.
